Seeking Community Awards Nominations

The Downtown Development Authority is searching for nominations for the 2010 First Citizen, the 2010 Business Person of the Year, and the 2010 Business Beautification Recognition. Everyone is invited to nominate citizens and businesses who stand out in the community for their volunteering efforts, their success in business through their personal commitment and integrity. The Business Beautification Recognition showcases businesses that have made improvements to their property, which enhance the community. The Awards will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Celebration on March 19, 2010. For information contact the Chamber of Commerce at 734-422-4448, www.gardencity.org.

Garden City in the Wayne County Connect

Garden City has a beautiful two-page ad in the latest issue of the Wayne County Connect, a magazine that is available to showcase some of the great assets that the cities of Michigan have to offer the world.

The ad was created by Brooke Rochon, a very talented graphic designer and resident of Garden City.
